How does microneedling with radiofrequency work?

Due to the mechanical and thermal stimulation, the skin tightening is done in a very gentle way, the recovery is 1 to 2 days. The treatment is suitable for Fitzpatrick skin typeI-IV.

What do I have to consider before the treatment?

Avoid increased sun exposure one week before the treatment. In addition, a retinol treatment should be paused one week before. On the day of treatment, cleanse the face sufficiently and do not apply make-up, sunscreen, cosmetic products or lotion.

What can be treated with the microneedling method and radiofrequency?

With the Genius you treat all parts of the body, such as the face, neck, armpits, arms, abdominal region, knees and thighs. The treatment is suitable for facial rejuvenation and tightening, treatment of wrinkles in the eye region, scar treatment in the face and body, treatment of melasma (pigment spots), body tightening, treatment of excessive sweating, treatment of stretch marks and cellulite.

The treatment can be ideally combined with a filler or autologous blood.

How does the treatment feel?

During the treatment you will feel a sensation of warmth as well as pressure. With local anaesthesia, the treatment is usually well tolerated. If necessary, a local nerve block can be performed with local anaesthesia.

How long does the treatment take and how long is the downtime?

Depending on the treatment area, the treatment lasts 15 to 45 minutes. After the treatment there is a slight redness and swelling which usually disappears after 24 - 36 hours. It can take up to a week for the swelling and redness to disappear completely.

How often does the treatment have to be carried out?

The treatment should be repeated 2 to 4 times at least 4 weeks apart. To maintain success, the treatment should be refreshed every 6 to 12 months.

What do I have to pay attention to after the treatment?

After the treatment, you should refrain from using an alcohol-based tonic for a fortnight. We can give you a light cream containing cortisone and antibiotics to reduce swelling. You should avoid excessive physical activity, sauna or sun exposure for one week. Use sunscreen SPF 50+. Any treatment with retinol can be resumed after one week.

When will I see the result?

A significant difference is typically visible 6-8 weeks after the last treatment, ideally 2-3 treatments are recommended.

What are the costs for microneedling treatments?

The consultation is free of charge. The cost of a treatment is agreed in advance depending on the region and severity. Usually packages of 4 treatments are agreed, sometimes an annual flat rate is also useful and can be combined with additional facial treatments such as Botox, PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma/own blood) or fillers.
